3rd conference in Astana, Kazakhstan, September 10-12, 2010

“It was a pleasure to meet you at the organic sector development conference in Astana, and I would like to thank you for the organization of this conference. Such events are crucial for Central Asia; they can really catalyze the development of the organic sector. The conference turned out to be very useful for the BioCotton Project of Helvetas in Kyrgyzstan, particularly for the local organizations, the farmer cooperative BioFarmer and BioService. They could enlarge their network with other stakeholders of the organic movement. The presence of future business partners was particularly important and we had very fruitful discussions during the conference.”

Lydia Preuss, Helvetas, participant at the 3rd conference in Astana, Kazakhstan 2010

2nd conference in Tbilisi, Georgia, September 10-11, 2009

“When I opened the conference few days ago, I couldn’t imagine that the two days of the conference will run so fast. I’m sad that it ended so soon – for me this was a splendid time of active and open interaction with diversity and richness of organic expertise & experiences from different countries. The time was short, but enough to get know more about each other, make contacts, build partnerships... That’s why I believe that the conference was successful.”

Mariam Jorjadze, Elkana, local organizer of the 2nd conference in Tbilisi

1st conference in Kyiv, Ukraine, April 10-12, 2008

“We are aiming at 10% organic farming by 2015. We are ready to support organic market development and to introduce GMO (genetically modified organisms) free regions. Organic offers great opportunities

for Ukraine.”
